Spiveys Star Invitational

This was a rough meet. There were lots of falls and mistakes for many of the girls and scores were very low.

Boo started on vault and did very well. She scored an 8.95, which is a slight improvement over the last meet. No place.

On bars, warm ups looked okay except she didn’t hit any of her giants. But, she pulled them out when it mattered most and did a decent routine. She was still archy and she didn’t hit her cast handstand or free hip on the low bar but she did make the complete routine. 8.35 for 3rd place.

Beam was really rough. Warm ups looked pretty good but that series is still a problem for her. Sure enough, during her routine she fell on both her series and on her full turn. 7.90 and 5th place.

Last up was floor and I thought her routine was excellent. She hit both her tumbling passes really well and looked like she was having a great time out there. Her coach said she was still too loose, though. 8.35, no place.

All around was 33.90 and 6th place. Definitely not a stellar meet for her but she had fun and she’s looking forward to competing again next weekend! Goooo, Boo!
